Rules

There aren't many, and they aren't very difficult! Just follow them and everything will be dandy.

  1. No Photoshopped or edited photos! Photos may, at absolute most, have contrast or brightness altered for clarity.
  2. Only one (1) image may be submitted per word. If you delete and resubmit your image, the score for the new image is reset.
  3. Photos must be taken by you - don't use images that don't belong to you. It ruins the fun for everyone, not to mention it's (almost always) copyright infringement.
  4. Images must be photographs.
  5. Nudity or excessively grotesque images in any form will result in an immediate ban.

Breaking any of these rules will result in a warning, suspension, or banning. Besides, why would you want to ruin the fun of the game?

Terms of Use

Also known as our "CYA Policy." It's just one of those necessary evils.

The following are the terms and conditions for use of the Snapherd ("Snapherd") camera phone game ("Game"). Please read them carefully before using the Game.

BY COMPLETING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS, YOU (the terms "you" or "yours" includes the person or entity that is registered with the Game as well as any third parties accessing the Game on your behalf) ARE STATING THAT YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE SERVICE ("Agreement"). The Service is offered to you conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein.

Snapherd reserves the right to alter the terms of use as deemed necessary. If an alteration is made, Snapherd will make its best available effort to notify users of the change.

I. Information Rights and Liability
Snapherd takes no responsibility for the pictures or comments ("Data") posted by its users (collectively, "Users"). Any and all Data posted by Users remains under the copyright of Users and as such, Users retain responsibility over the content of said Data. Should any Users post Data that is illegal, immoral, disturbing, or offensive then any and all action taken by any entity shall be passed unto the Users that control said Data. The Service may take appropriate localized action against said Users in the form of banning, suspension, or warnings from the Service, but Service has no duty to do anything further with the aforementioned Data.

However, you grant Snapherd a revocable, non-exclusive license to display and distribute Data within the confines of the website for the purposes of voting, advertising, and general display.

II. Privacy
Snapherd takes privacy very seriously and only collected limited information during registration. Said information will never be distributed outside of the confines of the Game, and will only be used in the necessary contexts. Specific user data will never be distributed, sold, or disclosed to any third parties without permission from the user.

III. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time and for any reason. In addition, this agreement will terminate immediately should you break the rules and become banned.

Upon termination of this agreement, (i) Snapherd will cease providing access to the Game; (ii) Your account may be banned, deleted, or destroyed.

IV. Compliance
You will not use the Game in any way or for any purpose that would violate, or would have the effect of violating, any applicable laws, rules or regulations or any rights of any third parties, including without limitation, any law or right regarding any copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, music, image, or other proprietary or property right, false advertising, unfair competition, defamation, invasion of privacy or rights of celebrity.
